The Postnatal period or Sootika Kala is a crucial phase for a new mother. According to Ayurveda, the first 45 days after childbirth determine a woman’s long-term health. This can extend up to 90 days or till the mother gets menstruation after delivery. This period requires specialized care to help the mother recover from delivery, regain strength, and restore hormonal balance. Post natal care or “ Prasavaraksha ” can start after 7 days in normal delivery and after 14 days in C-section.
